FAQ
How much of my time will this certification require?
Your outcome will be directly related to your commitment to this course. The journal pages and videos are meant to be taken in when children are not present. The tools are meant to be used as you work with children. To get the most out of this certification, you must do the work. USE THE TOOLS, create the habits...TRUST THE PROCESS.
In addition to the time you are working with children, plan on up to 2 hours a week dedicated to the course content.
How is the content presented?
- Journal Pages: Each module includes printable journal pages to keep in a binder. These pages feature a clear "TO DO" section along with reflection questions—reflection is a vital part of this journey. By the end of the course, you’ll have a 70+ page journal to refer to for years.
- Videos: Each module contains mini training videos tailored to participant needs. The video content is flexible, addressing real challenges you may face as you progress, ensuring you have all the support necessary to achieve your goals.
- Tools for Accountability: The tools provided are simple but effective ways to build habits, like observing play schema needs or conducting sensory inventories. These tools ensure you consistently meet each child’s needs, allowing them to be their best selves—a key step toward true empowerment.
By following each module, you’ll develop strong, foundational relationships with children, as relationships are at the heart of empowerment.
So then, I just have to print journal pages, watch videos, use tools and I will earn a certification?
No. There is work involved and a lot of proving to me that you are utilizing the tools and understanding the benefits.
Throughout the course there will be assignments that must be completed. Some are time consuming and will last the majority of the 5 months, others are short and sweet.
You WILL EARN your certification. It is absolutely not simply given away.
The assignments have been different for every cohort (you will be a part of the 3rd cohort). The assignments are directly related to the meaningful conversation. I like to meet my participants where they are as much as possible with my assignments, insuring they are meaningful.
What if I fall behind?
There is no such thing as falling behind. You will have life-time access to the content and you can achieve the certification anytime all of the assignments have been completed. The benefit to completing it in the five months is the support of others who are making the same changes.
Unlock the tools to inspire confidence, build resilience, and foster true independence in children!
In this certification course, you’ll master the essential techniques for nurturing the "I CAN!" mindset and empowering children through ownership.
The foundation of Denita's approach lies in the four pillars of EMPOWERMENT:
